Windy City here I come

Cant wait, this trip will be a blast. I am meeting Joe Matthys, and his lovely wife Tara. Joe is probably the greatest TTB ( and Allman Brothers Band) aficionados I know. He scored the seats and I am sure they are good. My “roving reporter” on this trip is no other than Bob Burns aka Boone. My college roommate and trouble making friend for more than 3 decades. This is looking dangerous. More to come when I hit the ground in Chicago

Welcome to my 60th circle around the sun celebrated with music

Hey thanks for finding my blog either on purpose or by accident! This blog, as the name implies, is my way of celebrating, with live music, my being on this planet for 60 years. Hang on this is going to be far-fucking-out……………..

Those of you that know me know there have been several constants in my life, mountains, skiing, friends and family, and lastly and most importantly live music. This all dates back to 1973 in western New York with Blue Oyster Cult opening for ZZ Top as a cherry popping first show. Tastes and styles of music evolved and eventually the “bus came by and I got on and that’s when it all began”. This journey is going to take me all over the United States with friends and family and strangers stopping strangers. You may or may not like my musical tastes but I promise you to keep it interesting.

I will be publishing “field reports” from all of the concerts I see this year including pre-show and post show antics and set lists where available. First on the docket is Tedeschi Trucks Band for two sold out nights at the Chicago Theater 1/17 and 1/18 2020. Till then.
